Disaster flicks!

Yep alot of them are cheesy, but you gotta admit they're a lot of fun to watch. What are your all-time faves?

Independence Day
The Day After Tomorrow
Titanic
Deep Impact
Dante's Peak
The Poseidon Adventure

They're all pretty horrible. Some are just beyond awful, like When Time Ran Out (1980), but even the "good" ones are dreadful. I suppose many would argue Airport, The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno and Titanic represent the best the genre has to offer, but even those four are bad movies I wouldn't waste any time on again.

My answer is none of 'em.

Airplane!, the hysterical spoof of the genre using 1957's Zero Hour as its main template, is the only disaster-related movie worth watching. And it should be seen over and over and over.

They are pretty good in my opinion, in fact its one of my favorite Genre of movies. I have a list of the ones I like, Armageddon, Deep Impact, The Day After Tomorrow, 28 days later(Not sure if its classed as one), Independence Day, Volcano, Dante Peak, Twister. I’m going to stop now but I may have missed a few I really like. But it produces some kind of excitement for me, I have a destructive personality which may explain why I like these kind of movies.

Wanna Date? Got Any Money?
Airplane is absolutley HILARIOUS........ But I've never really wasted my time on disaster flicks..... If I want to see someone jump out of a building or something.... i'll just watch t.v....
