Rank The Indiana Jones Movies

(Although I do believe 'Raiders' is a technically better film: I do prefer 'Crusade' on a pure enjoyment factor.)

Temple Of Doom
The Last Crusade
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

It pains me to even type that last one. It's nowhere near being on par with the other three.
very much agree with this - crystal skull was dreadful! Temple of Doom will always be the best!

I thought that I was the only person who loves Temple of Doom! I agree wholeheartedly with your order and your ratings, Cynema.

It'll be interesting when/if Indy 5 finally happens to see what the consensus is towards it and where it ranks for fans. It'll be the first time Disney is behind an Indy film and one has to wonder if their current Star Wars films are an indicator as to how 5 might turn out.

This might just do nobody any good.
The only question that matters is... who will Mark Rylance play?

If they stick to Cold War era Indy, I say he reprises Rudolf Abel.

That's the norm nowadays it seems, fan can be so hard to please whereas the general audience is just looking for an entertaining movie to pass two or so hours.

My pants ran off with an antelope.
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Just FYI, I still enjoy entry #4, but it isn't nearly as good as the other three. ...Crystal Skull has a lot of issues, but it's entertaining, to some degree. Shia Whatever sucked, though.

Can't remember if I posted it before, but I'm sure I'd post them in order, ya dig?

News the other day said Indy 5 is finally being eyed as one of Spielberg's next movies, I hope so. They really got to get on it now, it's getting to the point of now or never.

Easy for me.

1) Raiders of the Lost Ark
2) Temple of Doom
3) Last Crusade
4) Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Raiders at the top, Skull at the bottom(by along way), the other two depends really on my mood, Temple I think is a better action rollercoaster with a more pulpy style, Crusade probably has a better story and drama/comedy.

That's one of the things I love so much about Temple Of Doom, how pulpy and EC Comics-esque it is with it's style and visuals. It feels most like the vintage pulp comics and adventure serials that inspired the character to begin with. The story is more simplistic than the others but in a good way.

Re-posting my ranking:

Temple Of Doom
Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
The Last Crusade

Controversial, I know. I enjoy them all very much, even TLC. Thing with TLC is it feels a bit "been there, done that" with how similar it is to the original and for some reason I don't enjoy it as much as the rest, although it's still always a pleasure to watch.

Hard to believe the fourth movie turns 10 this year, time has flown. Sure doesn't feel like it's been a decade since the massive hype and then finally the release.

Definitely agree. Not many would rate Temple Of Doom overly highly but I think it easily stands alongside Raiders. The other two are enjoyable, but there's a certain special something about the first two.
