Woman is drugged by government

An American film shot within the last 15 years or so featuring a woman as the main protagonist. She's blonde (maybe Laura Linney) and is a government official/politician/lawyer. In one scene she gets injected with a potent mix of drugs by some kind of secret agent who breaks into her home. The next morning she goes to a coffee shop and almost has a nervous breakdown while under the influence of these drugs. She spills her coffee or her tray of food over the floor and snaps at this person who is trying to help her clean up the mess.

I've searched the web as best i can and come up with nothing. Please help!
