RIP Peter Vaughan

I remember him most as the ogre, Winston, in Time Bandits, delivering the classic line "Now it's prawns all the bloody time". Also as Christopher Eccleston's dad in Our Friends in the North.

A man of many roles but will always be Grouty - the true governor of Slade Prison for me.

I never saw Porridge, but I remember him from Brazil, Time Bandits, and Game of Thrones.

RIP.

I hated his character in Straw Dogs which means I loved him.
