Love Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers is a guilty pleasure of mine, agreed on Little Fockers bad movie.

Rocky V is the worst Rocky easily.

Despise The Exorcist 2, probably a top ten worst movie for me, really like the third one though.

Batman and Robin is the worst Batman film (not seen BVS can't imagine it could be worse than this though), weirdly i actually really like Batman Forever more than Batman Returns even.

Only watched the first two Vacation films so far.

Stunned that you have BTTF 2 on your list. Probably the weakest of the trilogy but still very enjoyable for me.

Yeah, i can see someone not liking it much but it is surprising that it is on a worst sequels list. Pretty baffling that it is higher than stuff like Rocky V and a Police Academy movie too.

And it's a hell of a lot funnier than Little Fockers.

Jason Bateman didn't really sustain much of a career until Arrested Development. If anything, Teen Wolf Too was his transition from TV to movies, but it didn't really take.
Wasn't Arrested Development his transition from TV to movies?

No. That was the stuff he did in the early/mid 80's (like It's Your Move, The Hogan Family) to Teen Wolf Too. His movie career picks up again around the time of Arrested Development.

Personally, I like #34 Vegas Vacation. I'd say it's my 2nd favorite next to the original. Now that doesn't mean that Christmas is my third favorite, I just have a hard time putting Christmas on the list because it's... well... Christmas. It's a Christmas movie that could easily be categorized among a zillion Christmas comedies. It is the Griswalds and they are on vacation, but they don't go anywhere, they stay home and have relatives come stay with them, so that makes it a bit different from the road trip or travel aspects of the other movies. Most people agree European is the weakest (despite several good bits), so that leaves Vegas!

I love cousin Eddie - I love when he cooks a raw chicken on a rock in the sun - I love the cameo by Siegfried & Roy (pre-tiger attack) - I love the whole Wayne Newton & Ellen subplot - I loved the Cheapo Casino Eddie takes Clark to...

But I especially loved this guy...

Wallace Shawn as Marty the wiseguy black jack dealer stole the movie!

Back to the Future Part II

There's a lot of love out there for this sequel but I didn't like it. It is set up beautifully at the end of the first film when Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) tells Marty (Michael J. Fox) that there's something wrong with his kids, a perfect setup for a sequel. What happens here is that the so called issue with Marty's son (also Fox) is solved ten minutes into the movie and we are then subjected to a ridiculous story about Marty's mother Lorraine (Lea Thompson) and her abusive marriage to Biff (Thomas F. Wilson), which reduces Crispin Glover's role as George, so memorable in the first film, to a virtual cameo. It's all flash and no substance...Zemeckis and Fox redeemed themselves with the third film though.

Crispin Glover wasn't in Back to the Future Part II. Jeffrey Weissman took over the role of George McFly when Glover refused to return for the sequel if they didn't meet his demands for more money and script approval. So they rewrote the story to lessen his role, and used facial prosthetics make Weissman look like Glover, and only showed him from behind, at a distance, upside down or with sunglasses. Glover even sued them for using his likeness without his permission.

I'm with you on most of the films you've mentioned so far including Rocky V, which to me is the worst of the series.

However, you are dead wrong on Back To The Future II. The entire trilogy is great in my opinion.

Iroquois, are you in drag?

You're reminding me of Pete Burns right now.

Nah, son, that's just Captain Ron.

Welcome to the human race...
I like BTTF2 but I can understand/respect it being placed on this list. It certainly makes for an interesting pick compared to easy targets like Batman and Robin or Superman III.

The whole BTTF trilogy is hugely overrated, but that's mainly the fault of the second and third film. The first one is good.

That said, surely the second one is better than that horrible third instalment. I don't think I even managed to finish that one.

All of the Back To The Future movies are overhyped.
I 100% agree with the above statement. I also think that the Indiana Jones movies are overrated. Especially the first 2. The 3rd one I think stands the test of time much better.

But in my opinion, the most overrated film of all time must be the Shawshank Redemption. I think it's number one on the IMDB list! Something which I find unfathomable. Mad Max: Fury Road and Birdman are also two recent examples.

I think Shawshank is great. Even though I've got it on DVD, if it's on TV I'll stop and almost can't resist watching it to the end.

But I couldn't agree more about Birdman.

I only ever watched Shawshank Redemption once many, many years ago, and I was distinctly underwhelmed. Maybe if I give it another go I will revise my view of it. But my point is that do we (as movie geeks) really think that it's one of the best films of all time?
