Yeah, but in my story the superhero finds his girlfriend, saves her AND (get this) he takes the guys who kidnapped her to the cops... and he just leaves them with the cops! Like, "here, these guys are criminals... you're cops, you take care of it... I have to go get a cat out of a tree!"

ahhh he saves her. that is a nice twist, i'll give you that!

Yeah, I've been working out the plot details for a while. It's based on a true story.
But only "based" on (in the real story, the girl's dead body was found in a ditch by a passing motorist.)

I think I read that. The "hero" never actually had any powers, he was just on shrooms.
