Movies based on video games

I strongly believe the game series of Vigilante 8 (by Activision/Luxoflux) sould be considered to be made into a movie. It has a well written and detailed storyline, in my and many other people's honest opinions. All of the characters have there own biographies already created by the team who made the game. If you haven't played this game, it is definitely worth playing if you get the chance. Many other video games have been given a chance on the big screen, so why not this one?

What are your opinions/ ideas on what games should be made made into movies?

The Metal Gear solid games could be made into good movies if it is done right unlike most of the previous movies that have been made from games.
