I'd give her a HA! and a HI-YA! Then I'd kick her.
Ok GBG.. after posting in Gats' thread and hijacking it like we did.. you mentioned Vincent Price

have you seen "Dragonwyck"?

No, I haven't seen Dragonwyck. I thought that was a recent fantasy movie, but I just looked it up on IMDB, and it's an old classic. I'll have to find it.

One of my favorite classic horrors.. with Vincent Price...

Who's hijacking? I'm sure Gatsby will appreciate the attention, I would if I had a top movie list thread.

Yeah, I don't mind when people hijack my thread as long as it stays on the topic of movies, and doesn't go off on some crazy tangent.

In other words, keep SC out of your thread?

Trouble with a capitial 'T'
GBG, I seen Dragonwyck recently. I'm not as keen on it as MovieGal is, but it's a decent movie and Vincent Price has a plumb role. I think you'd like it.

Other Horrors that I enjoy from that time are "The Picture of Dorian Gray" (1945) and "The Uninvited" (1944). Also, I enjoy the films from the 1920's and 1930's, like "The Phantom of the Opera", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", etc...

You know my movie tastes pretty well, (maybe even better than I know my own movie tastes sometimes ). Do you think I might like it?

GBG... "Dragonwyck" like "Dorian Gray" and "The Uninvited" are Gothic horror....not so sure if you enjoy that genre.

I've seen The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945) and The Uninvited (1944), and I liked both movies. I haven't seen most of the old classic Universal Monster movies, but they've been on my watchlist for years. They just keep getting pushed down by other movies. I'll have to watch them on TCM on Halloween one year.

I'm pretty sure you would like it. You won't find anything objectionable about it. Dragonwyck kind of reminds me of one of my Top favorites Rebecca.

Have you seen "The Pit and the Pendulum" from 1961 with Vincent Price?

Not recently, but yes. It was back in high school when we were studying Poe.
I enjoy films based off Poe's work as well...

We watched a few of them back in high school. I think the others were The Raven and The Tell-Tale Heart. (At least those are the ones that I remember.)

I like Poe too. I haven't seen The Pit and the Pendulum since the 70s.
There are so many great films with Vincent Price in them.. but then there are Hammer Horror with him.. and well Im not to fond of those....

I prefer good old black and white Vincent Price films... we lost something great when he passed on.
