Basinger's performance in LA Confidential did nothing for me, will never understand that win. There were better supporting actresses that year and Basinger has done better work (The Door in the Floor comes to mind). Nice to see some love for Moore in Magnolia though.

Have never really understood all the love for Kathleen Quinlan in Apollo 13, but that's just me.
