Movie about freezing time

I saw a movie when i was younger (in the 80's) about a woman who found a necklace and with it she could freeze time at the end there was a nuclear war and she froze time before the bombs hit. It was like one of those "what would you do" movies. If anyone knows the name of this movie please tell me. People i ask never know what I am talking about or if they have seen it they don't know what it is called. Thank you.

I'm sure I've seen what you're talking about and I think it was either a 'made for TV' movie or an episode of the twilight zone or similar.

Nope, not a movie at all.

Indeed, that's an episode from the '80s version of "The Twilight Zone" (1985-1986). It was the second episode of that new series, titled "A Little Peace & Quite", and starred Melinda Dillon (Close Encounters of the Third Kind, A Christmas Story) as the stressed-out mother who finds a magical amulet in her garden that allows her to freeze the world around her. She's enjoying using this power to free herself from the bustle of her every day life, but in the end she freezes the world just before neuclear missles explode, trapping her forever with the choice to remain the only person wandering around, or unfreeze the world and watch it immediately destroyed by war.

Easily the best epsiode of that short-lived '80s "Twilight Zone" series.
