Need A title for a film about a transforming car

I know this sounds like Transformers, but I swear it isn't. It may have been an older miniseries. I saw it on television when I was a kid.

It was about a car that could change into other cars with almost a chameleon effect - I think it was a Dodge Viper


Thanks to anyone who can solve this for me - it's been plaguing me for years.

Sleepwalkers made in 1992? Based more on a pair of demonic cat like creatures but his car changed form during the film.

Or Christine made in 1983? About a demonic car that pretty much possesses its owner.

That's the only two I can think of.

This clip kind of sucks as it is dubbed in Spanish and badly edited so you miss when the car is transformed into a red convertible. But check the very end and you will see the car change back.

Remember the lead actor changed after the first season so this might not be the actor you saw.

The TV movie pilot had a different star.

^ What the hell, I have no recollection of that TV series at all, must have really failed.
