Jury Movie Similar To Twelve Angry Men

This movie is very similar to the movie "Twelve Angry Men" starring Henry Fonda only it's much more modern from the 80s to 90s period.

In this movie, a woman is on trial for murder and the prosecution appear to have a weak case against her. Also she is quite attractive and appears very nice. As the viewer, you will be almost certain that she is innocent as the jury retire to consider their verdict . The jury also think this way except for one man who raises a trivial point about her defence that does need explaining. However the rest of the jurors can't offer any explanation for his point raised. Trivial as it is, this point seems to find her guilty. After more discussion about her defence, a couple more jurors raise more points about her defence. It's not long before all the jurors and you the viewer will be convinced that she is guilty. The movie finishes with the jury returning to the court room to announce a verdict of guilty. Now I'm 99% sure this movie is not any of these: Jury Duty (1995), We The Jury (1996), The Juror (1996), and Runaway Jury from 2003. I've read several descriptions for all those movies and they just don't fit my wanted movie.

There is a possibility that what I saw that night on Free To Air TV was not even a movie but simply a one hour TV jury series. Can anyone help with this one please? It might be a good one for Yoda because I see his second top movie favourite is 12 Angry Men.

Thanks for your answer Sir Toose. I read the IMDB description for that movie and doubt very much if it's what I'm after. In my movie, I don't remember any scenes outside the courtroom and most of the movie takes place in the jury room. I will keep it in mind though.

I think it could have been from a short-lived TV series. There are two possibilities. This is the most likely I think.

Look at episode 9. Could that be it?

One thing I just remembered about this show. It always ended with a brief scene that revealed exactly what happened after the verdict. So if your story didn't have that scene, that isn't it.

Thanks for that link will.15, however I get a little lost with it. Can you post a link that will take me directly to a description of this "episode 9" you mentioned? No, I don't think my movie ended with a brief scene at the end that revealed exactly what happened after the verdict.

By the way Sir Toose, I did some more reading on your suggestion of "Body Of Evidence" and I see that Madonna was the leading lady on trial in that movie. I'm quite sure she was not in my film thank goodness!

It actually wasn't a bad film.

Willem Dafoe playing the straight guy in a film is a lot harder to swallow. Every time I see the guy I feel like he's going to bite a chunk out of whoever is standing next to him.

Thanks for that second link to "The Jury" TV series will.15. I have now put a post on the IMDB site discussions page relating to that series. Perhaps someone there will remember that episode quite well. I also have some e-mail addresses for people who put posts on that board.

I'm fairly sure that was an American program I was watching that night.
