I was bummed at the fact Weezer requested him to remove an excerpt from their song "Buddy Holly" on his Alt-Rock Polka but it was nice to see their song 'Beverly Hills" appear in Polkarama. I'm hoping Al does another parody song detailing the events of a movie such as "The Saga Begins" and "Ode To A Superhero" because he pretty much described both of them in a nutshell heh.

Agreed, re. the polkas. I have to laugh if I hear his polka versions first... and only later hear the original song on the radio. Someone will hear me singing along with the original and I have to admit I know the words only because I "know the polka version," which raises an eyebrow. His best polka version, IMHO, is either the Rolling Stones medley or the Bohemian Rhapsody in polka form. The video for that (with the Wayne's World clips) is hilarious.

So I've been listening to Alpocalypse all day, and his Polka medleys never get old. "Polka Face" is great, and it's funny how they can make the most untolerable pop-songs listenable!

Been an Al fan since 1978 before he had a contract. He seems to have a wayward "love song" on every album, and I tend to love them all. Alpocalypse is a return of the good ol' Al, for sure.
