I wonder just exactly where my enjoyment of the film itself ends and where my enjoyment of the experience I had watching the film with other trash lovers begins.

What [I]The Salton Sea[/I] does differently to other drug movies is subtly weave a thriller plot into the midst of its portrayal of meth addicts.

It’s a well-made film, no doubt. Meadows pulls good performances out of every player.

I can't picture myself recommending [i]Urotsukidôji[/i] to anybody. All I can do is let them know that it really is a brutal demon-fantasy tale, peppered with countless unsettling images.

[i]There Will Be Blood[/i] was an excellent film, and not just solely on the back of Day-Lewis's performance. It's a gripping experience, and will constantly surprise up until the bitter end.

[Jackson] throws most of the zombie "rules" out the window and throws together such ridiculously over-the-top effects that, to quote a tagline for the film, you'll laugh yourself sick.

It's a nice movie, worth watching once at least, but I couldn't quite agree with the high ratings that it gets wherever I look. Then again, as I've stated, it's not really my kind of movie so liking it at all probably means something.

Needless to say, [i]Naked[/i] was one hell of a film to watch. It makes me wonder exactly how I should rate it, if I should rate it.

Although on its own, [i]American Gangster[/i] is a well-made piece of crime drama, it suffers from being derivative of earlier crime movies and even the odd cliché thrown in for good measure.
