Five Easy Pieces   7/31/14
by Cobpyth
Five Easy Pieces is a film I can truly sink into when I'm in the right mood, because there's so much truth and atmosphere in this film.

James Dean had the final role of his too-brief career as Jett Rink, Benedict's former ranch hand whose inheritance of a small parcel of land from Bick's sister ends up leading to Rink striking oil and becoming a millionaire, a business rival for Benedict and a continued thorn in his personal life wi...

In Cold Blood   7/30/14
by the samoan lawyer
Hauntingly filmed in black and white, with sensational cinematography, (particularly the scene with Perry discussing his childhood, whilst the rain on the window reflects his tears) In Cold Blood is a compelling and emotional portrayal of a shocking story.

A View to a Kill   7/30/14

This isn't a perfect Bond film, and it's not even the best Bond film, but I think it's been harshly looked upon by many, who perhaps sees Moore's puffy visage and assume the film to be dreadful, but I'd consider it to be one of Moore's best, certainly better than the likes of The Man With the Golden...

Bad Teacher   7/29/14

by Cobpyth

Apparently he finished filming this movie a couple weeks before his death.

Lawrence of Arabia   7/26/14

This is definitely another film that I'll write a longer review about in the future, but let me just shortly tell you how this film was able to meet and even exceed my high expectations in every single positive way...

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes   7/26/14
by Daniel M
After Rise of the Planet of the Apes, a film that despite its flaws focussed steadily on the interactions between humans and apes, and slowly built up to an action set piece finale, I feared that the follow up may have sacrificed certain elements that made it work and opt for a two hour action fille...

Raw Deal   7/25/14
by Sexy Celebrity
Raw Deal looks exciting, and a large amount of the film is kind of exciting and beautiful to watch and observe, but ultimately the film is sadly kind of boring and somewhat plot heavy, but worse of all -- a kind of confusing mess.
