Connor Macgregor Reviews...Scream 3
What was originally the concluding chapter of the trilogy is now the 3rd film of the saga and possibly one of the most underrated films ever made.
Sidney is hibernating in the woods, her whereabouts unbeknownst to everyone but Dewey. After a number of murders that seem to be related to the Woodsboro case take place on the set of Stab 3, Sid comes to Hollywood to be terrorized, find out more about her mother's death, and put together the final pieces of the Scream mystery.
Scream 3 to me is just as good as the first one. We started with high school, then college and then the most unlikely turn...Hollywood. It makes sense in a way because Hollywood capitalizes on these types of stories all the time to make money, so in a way Scream 3 is spoofing the film business. It also has a great selection of characters which are a step up to the dull blanded characters in Scream 2. There are so many to name but seeing them die was both sad yet satisfying.
Sidney is back in the center again after not really being headlined as much in Scream 2. We delve more into the mind games that she suffers from not The Ghostface Murders, but when her mother was first murdered. Its quite interesting and a throwback to the first one and see how Sidney has tooken all the massacres in as well as her mother's murder.
If i haven't said it yet, i love the fact its in Hollywood mainly because of its parody of the film business in general. Actors are pricks, Studio Executives are sex lovers and so on and so forth. So really, they got one thing right.
Overall, Scream 3 is very underrated and deserves to be seen just by how good it is.
Rating - 95% - A
P.S. Gail is at her best in this film.
