Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

Connor Macgregor Reviews...Anchorman

One of the funniest comedies of the decade with a cast of very talented comedians (well almost very talented). And an idea with minimum thought that really worked because of characters and not a plot. Anchorman

Ron Burgundy is the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the '70s. When feminism marches into the newsroom in the form of ambitious newswoman Veronica Corningstone, Ron is willing to play along at first-as long as Veronica stays in her place, covering cat fashion shows, cooking, and other "female" interests. But when Veronica refuses to settle for being eye candy and steps behind the news desk, it's more than a battle between two perfectly coiffed anchor-persons... it's war.

Firstly , this film is funny. It takes life as a 70s journalist and makes it really work and creates a sort of whole new world out of it. Will Ferrell isnt the most beloved man in the world , but in this film you just have to laugh at how crude and comedic the character of Ron Burgundy is. His whole news crew are great fun to watch especially Steve Carrell who literally steals the film in this. Also i love Vince Vaughn in this. Playing Ron's rival and make it really funny.

The Jokes work and the writing is fairly well done. Directing also really is good. Acting is good and overall a great film to watch. Rent it out , its worth your time.
