American psycho
American psycho is a Dark Comedy film from the year 2000 directed by Mary Harron, and is staring Christian Bale as Patrick bateman. This film is really hard to explain, so I'm just gonna copy and paste the summarization of this film.
"A wealthy New York investment banking executive hides his alternate psychopathic ego from his co-workers and friends as he escalates deeper into his illogical, gratuitous fantasies."
I honestly didn't know what to expect from this film. I heard some things about it before, some good, some bad. And when I watched the film, I had no idea it would be this good. What I liked about this film was Christian Bales amazing performance as Patrick Bateman. He did a great job playing someone who at first seems like a great guy, but once you get to know him, He is a terrible person, and Everyone else in the film didn't do half bad either. And if you are going to watch this film, just watch it as a dark comedy, because if you watch it as just a horror film, you'll probably hate American Psycho. The film is made to look like its from the 80's, and I think they did a good job doing that. While watching the film, I forgot plenty of times through out that it was from the 2000's. Alright, so right now, I am going to talk about the ending, trying my best NOT to spoil the film. I think that while most of the film happened, I think all the violent parts were just in his head. I absolutely loved this film. If you don't like scenes of violence, you probably won't like this film, since it is violent, sexist, buts its all that in the greatest way possible.
