While on the surface the film might seem to say that functional alcoholism is an a-okay way of life, I think it's pretty apparent that it's a temporary balm for people whose lives are complicated by more than their too-low blood alcohol content.
Thief
I also liked how the film juxtaposes the dangerous effects of alcoholism with the many ways that society pushes alcohol unto us since our youth.
