He is pretty stiff here, trying to mix his bad guy persona with the comedy styling of today, which he is not known for.

Anders also scores in the casting of the dads, especially the return of Mel Gibson in front of the camera proving he still knows how to turn in a real movie star performance, Gibson's Kurt Mayron, a womanizing former astronaut who has not seen Dusty for five years, is a rowdy, foul-mouthed instigat....
