Other characters are given just enough definition to keep the film going, whether it's Ernest Borgnine as Brady's brutish sidekick who develops his own bitter rivalry with Hayden or Ben Cooper as the youthful member of Brady's gang who has his own complicated attitude towards Crawford.

Crawford is spectacular as Vienna, the tough-as-nails owner of a saloon and gambling palace who finds herself implicated in a murder and a bank robbery, just as a man from her past named Johnny Guitar (Sterling Hayden) comes back into her life and commits himself to getting Vienna out of all the tro....

It is called Johnny Guitar, but to me, this is Vienna's story all the way and Crawford's determined to make it work.
