The Naked City is a docudrama style film noir - crime drama filmed entirely on location in New York City.

A young woman is murdered in her apartment, leading detectives Muldoon (Barry Fitzgerald) and Halloran (Don Taylor) to investigate the killing.

In fact, the structure of the film - which includes components filmed all over New York - makes this more a film about the Big Apple than a murder.
