Slime City Massacre 15th Anniversary Reunion

"Honor is not in the Weapon. It is in the Man"
In 2010, a cult film called Slime City Massacre was released, which is now on Tubi. Perhaps inspired by "Street Trash", the film is set 7 years after a dirty bomb turned NYC's Financial Dstrict to a wasteland nicknamed "Slime City". 4 homeless people looking for food find a strange elixir and so-called Himalyan yogurt that has two side effects: As Austin Powers call it, mojo, but also slowly melting in the process.

In order to revert to normal, the homeless must kill. Meanwhile, a greedy developer wants Slime City for redevelopment and hires mercenaries to ensure he gets what he wants. Meanwhile, the homeless learn the elixir ang yogurt are connected to a Satanic cult decades ago and if they continue to consume them, they may end up being possessed by the cult, Sounds weird....yes it, but it's a very "so bad it's awesome movie"

Anyway, on March 1, a 15th anniversary Reunion with cast members and the writer-director is happening. And well, it is being hosted by yours truly.

Here's the promo trailer for the reunion:

"Slime City Massacre" sounds like a perfect "so bad it's awesome" film, with its bizarre mix of post-apocalyptic chaos, melting characters, and a Satanic cult plot. The fact that you're hosting a 15th-anniversary reunion with the cast and writer-director is really cool! It’ll be a great chance for fans to relive the weirdness and hear behind-the-scenes stories. How did you get involved in hosting this reunion?

"Honor is not in the Weapon. It is in the Man"
I have known Greg Lamberson and Brooke Lewis Bellas for a few years and last year, met and became friends with Debbie Rochon. When I inducted the 3 of them in the WorldFilmGeek Hall of Fame last year, Brooke had this idea of a possible reunion and I thought, let's make it happen. Last summer the four of us began preliminary planning and then we all had other things to work on the fall (Greg has a new werewolf movie in post, The Frenzy Moon; Debbie has some new projects) and then last month, we went full speed ahead and we picked a date and time. Greg reached out to the other cast members and we are all set to go. I learned live-streaming a few weeks ago (at 46, not bad for an old timer doing it his 1st time LOL). That's how it happened!

Wanna Date? Got Any Money?
Admittedly I like the original film better, but both of them are quite fun. This sounds like a blast, have fun!

Well, good news. The stars of the original film are joining us as well. Craig Sabin returned as Zachary and Mary Bogle's Swan is actually her character from the original film. We officially have the cast mentioned in my trailer joining as well as writer/director Greg Lamberson. I tested live streaming and the first 2 times I heard a bit of an echo but the last 2 times I tried, no echo. So all ready to go tomorrow!

I had a great time and the first livestream was a success! We had a great 2-hour chat as the cast and writer/director Greg Lamberson shared some great memories, talk about what they are up to now, and even discuss the possible future of indie films among other things. We had a great time!
