That's cool, there's folk from all over the world here. I'm 45 and not that far from you in Boston. My wife and I used to go to Jersey to go to Six Flags. Their drive through safari is unbelievable.

Withnail and I - Glad this was nominated, heard alot about it and it is one of the few left on my MoFo 100 list.

The Grand Budapest Hotel - Not one of my fave Wes films but really good anyway. I'm not gonna rewatch this as i only watched it a few months back.

Casablanca - Don't like it quite as much as everyone else but it is pretty great. Don't have to see this again as i remember it well but i still might not sure yet.

Never Let Me Go
- Never heard of this, looking forward to it.

Romper Stomper - I'll rewatch this as i haven't seen it in years. Didn't like it much at the time hopefully that has changed.

Sanshiro Sugata - Awesome, a 40's Kurosawa that i haven't seen

The City of Lost Children - Don't think i've heard of this. Looking forward to it.

Barbara - Again not heard of this, looking forward to it.

Hiroshima Mon Amour - Awesome, been meaning to see more Resnais.

The Man From Nowhere - Gonna leave this to last, me and Royale have struck up an early bond but he's still pretty new so i'd rather not watch something that may get excluded, no offence. Looks good though.

Y Tu Mama Tambien - My nom. No doubt some of you will hate it but i don't really care i love it.

U-Turn - never seen it looking forward to it.

Joe - Great film. Not sure if i'm gonna rewatch it or not.

Really interesting choices . Think i'll watch Withnail tonight.

Haha, no offense taken. Just joined to have a wider array of movies and to share a movie that I thought most of you haven't seen yet..... Hopefully.

I live an hour from their and I've never been to the drive through safari. Don't go to six flags too much in general. The only thing I really take advantage of in Jersey is the historical parks, mainly dealing with the revolution. Other than that, I just watch movies and brewery hop

Welcome to MoFo! RoyaleWitCheese, glad to have a new member in the Hof Looks like you picked a great movie and hope you have fun.

BTW what do you like to be called for short? Royale? Cheese? other?

Use a rental. We filled the car with bananas and the baboons went nuts. One of them took a dump on the bumper. The roller coasters there are sick too. Back at the hotel, I went to the bar to watch the Sunday night game and I ended up in the middle of a porn convention after my wife went back to the room. Jersey is crazy!

I prefer the smaller casinos, so one of my favorites in Vegas was Casino Royals. Every time I walked in, I said "Royale with cheese". Kind of a stupid thing, but it's a link.

allright iam going to start of with Y tu tonight, its already 03 here though so i miight have to restart tomorrow
are we going to try and keep it in some order or just watch what we want? i dont mind either, but discussions were much better when we tried to somewhat watch the same one within a few days of eachother

Thanks Citizen, looking forward to the movies, just looked em all up and I can't wait to watch.
Royale is fine, rather not be associated with just "Cheese"

I probably would've done something similar.

Withnail & I

As i said i was really glad this was nominated since i've heard nothing but good things and it is one of the few i have left on the MoFo 100 list. I've heard of this alot but never really been sure what it was about exactly, all i really knew was that it is British, it stars Richard E Grant who is a guy that is sometimes on panel shows over here and that it is supposed to have a really good script. That i'd definitely agree with; it was nuts how many lines i'd heard before i think it is a highly quoted film here as i know i had heard some of it before. It's hilarious at times, Withnail in particular he's constantly drunk and ill and annoyed, a real grumpy a-hole character but he is a joy to watch anyway. I is comparatively soft-spoken and generally more normal and likable. They had great chemistry but i'm still not sure why they were friends exactly, it felt like it was for survival more than anything since they were two poor, messed up losers. I thought the first half hour was just okay, it really picks up when they get to the countryside. Being from London they obviously aren't used to the country lifem and they clash with the locals and get it various crazy situations that they can barely handle. One of my favourite parts was when Withnail was terrified that the guy in the pub was coming to kill them, attempting to sleep with I with a shotgun in hand . Withnails reaction when it turned out to be Monty killed me. Speaking of Monty he was pretty great too, i loved his interactions with I who was clearly terrified of him. Jesus that "i know you're not asleep boy" scene haha. Really liked the ending, it was weirdly sad. Really enjoyed the music and the simple look of the film too.

Good nom Neiba i really enjoyed this. Going to watch Hiroshima Mon Amour and maybe something else tomorrow.
