I am interested in a grand, well shot epic, with lots of action and very little slapstick stuff. Hopefully a historical big budget movie.

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.

The Thief of Bagdad (24)
Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (25)
The Beloved Rogue (27)
Wings (27)

A silent movie that first tried seemingly psychedilic special effects. For 1920 and no sound, they did a respectable job.
