When I was little I thought Grizzly Adams was the bear. A bit like the story of the kid who saw the statue of Gordon of Khartoum on a camel and asked "Who's that man sitting on Gordon?"

I must admit I never watched The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams, but it is always sad to lose a television icon...RIP, Mr. Haggerty.
