Oz first and second season DVD sets

Prince Of All Saiyans
I was just wondering if anyone here has the DVD box sets of the 1st and 2nd seasons of Oz, which recently ran it's final episode on HBO about 2 weeks ago. Is this worth getting, or should I pass on it? The show was a milestone in many fields, and watching Tobias Beecher go from a timid, spoon fed pansy lawyer to an animalistic hardcore mofo that could hold his own was the best thing about the whole show. His character development was just the best. So again, folks, should I get any of these box sets?

I own both box sets and they are great entertainment.

What's more, even though the show has been cancelled, OZ started several years ago. That means we should be seeing about 6 seasons or so!

It crude and graphic, but very real as a prison series. HBO was probably the only network to make this a go... sort of like the Sopranos.

My mother is a retired correction officer and she has stated that OZ was as bad as it got in real prisons (my mom was a maximum security officer and she packed a 9 for the state.) She also enjoyed OZ and unlike most people who winced at the violence, she looked at it and said "that's the real deal." My mom also speaks from experience because she has seen some nasty things in the place she worked, and while she hasn't been able to tell me some of the things, the things she has told me sound very typical of the stuff that went on in Em City.

BTW thanks for your reply I watched OZ from start to finish from 1997 to the last episode, and it was a hell of a trip!
