Just got around to watching the pilot for this sitcom that seems to be trying to be another Seinfeld. It stars stand-up comedian John Mulaney (who?) as a stand-up comedian named John Mulaney who gets a job as a writer for a famous comic (Martin Short). For a show centered around comedy and stand-up comedy, the pilot contained precious few laughs and Mulaney was the least funniest member of the cast. The only laughs I found during the pilot came from former SNL regular Nasim Pedrad as Mulaney's platonic friend who is obsessed with her ex-boyfriend; however, Pedrad is not reason enough to watch...I have to wonder how this guy had the juice to get a sitcom and get it named after himself, but it's all moot because I won't be watching anyway.
