Well, I have a bit of somewhat on topic.
Dvds of most films can be found extra inexpensive now, I think frankly many older and middle aged are tired of the format changes, first vhs, then dvd, now bluray? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...
To tie this with what you are saying: I don't make dvds of dvds, I simply make digi copies, such as mp4 and avi. I only bother doing this with high priced discs, such as concerts and such, thought this might change? I do this simply cause I can resale these pricier discs for about what I payed, because I buy them cheap, or atleast cheaper. It is all for personal use for me, I'm not making multiple copies for sale, only the original disc, save for personal multi storage incase storage drive fails or is lost, had problems with this in the past. The entertainment industry should consider the large difference in pricing for media types, how this is probably at a loss for them. The higher $ on downloads and bluray and lower $ on dvd and cd should try and meet in the middle price range. I don't think the industy will be very successful in phasing out the dvd, at least it will not happen nearly as quickly as they'd like.
All I'm saying is that there is dvd to dvd copying, I think the file extension is .vob file, if this might help you in web search? You might consider other more mod formats like .avi or .mp4 for copying, they take up smaller bites and don't need a disc for storage or play.
Barely on topic, but might help?
