Giant Killer Mosquito

Can't remember the title of this film, and as it stands it might even not be a real film but merely a short advertisement for the SciFi channel or some such.

Black and white film, set in the 50's-ish.
The only scene I can remember is a white man in a dark suit is driving down the highway, when the mosquito (approximately the size of his car) jabs its sucker through the cloth roof of the vehicle.
He has a lucky break with it only squishing his fedora hat , and he escapes at least for the rest of the scene.
Can't remember if he manages to drive away or gets his fluids sucked out.

Thanks a zillion!

No intuitions or guesses? :C

I couldn't find a movie from the fifties with a giant mosquito and giant bug movies from that era are well documented.

Forgot to mention that I saw this clip around 15 years ago, so probably Skeeter or Mosquito. I'll see if I can get a copy of these, thanks!

Mosquito would've been my first guest from the title question. I first saw this on moster vision with Joe Bob Briggs(big movie buff). A great show and movie. After reading its in b&w I would say you movie is Matinee starring John Goodman the movie is not in b&w but they show that scene in the movie theatre just before they release the giant prop skeeter into the crowd. If only real movie theatres did these gimmicks. I don't know if you saw the whole b&w movie or just that scene or if it even was a full feature and not some short shot just for the movie. If it was a real movie they should credit it at the end of Matinee.
