There was a movie i seen a long time ago, wasn't very good but there was something about it i liked...

It was somewhere between 1990's-2009

A car driver crashes and puts a kid in hospital. Throughout the movie he visits the hospital to help the kid to walk again.

In the end he has a race an he takes the kid to a go kart track were they both race each other on the go kart's..

Any ideas ?
