Just watched the second trailer for Casino Royale, looks very good and I for one can't wait to see it.
Martin Campbell did well with Goldeneye, reinjecting some verve into the Bond franchise after the dull Dalton efforts, I was a big fan of Brosnan as Bond, although some of his later efforts were poor efforts.
Thankfully they seem to have learnt their lesson, no more invisible cars, instead we seem to be getting a gritier more realistic Bond, warts and all.
I'm a big fan of Daniel Craig as an actor, I remember him from Our Friends in the North, and I feel he has become a better actor throughout the subsequent years.
Layer Cake convinced me that he could carry off Bond, I just can't believe all the negative press that's surrounded him and the new film.
How so called Bond fans can criticise him without having seen the movie baffles me.
I personally feel the franchise is in safe hands with Craig & director Campbell, I look forward to the film, and hope it's the first of many.
I'm also looking forward to the Bourne Ultimatum, I'm a huge fan of the spy genre, and feel that the Bourne films have given it back some respect after torrid films like XXX, and Die another day.
So, roll on November 17th, and to those opposed to Craig as Bond, watch your back, my Walther PPK is fully loaded and I've had one too many vodka/martinis, yep, I'm shaken and stirred!!!!!!
