Yeah. The Fifth Element is probably the most entertaining movie I've ever seen, The Name of the Rose gives me exactly what I want to see when (thus it is perfect for me), Dead Again is so beautiful in so many ways, The Elephant Man is the most touching movie I've ever seen, and Strange Days is probably the coolest.

Those are all my personal favorite films. Somehow, The Name of the Rose and Strange Days are very much in the same vein. They're also both mysteries. If you have a chance, I think you should check 'em out.

Both for the sheer Hell of it and because I keep changing my mind:

01. Lawrence of Arabia (d. David Lean, 1962)
02. Casablanca (d. Michael Curtiz, 1942)
03. The Godfather (d. Francis Ford Coppola, 1972)
04. Amadeus (d. Milos Forman, 1984)
05. Apocalypse Now (d. Francis Ford Coppola, 1979)

Do you know my poetry?
Here's my top 5 of all time:

3. Amadeus [1984] - Directed by Milos Forman
4. Goodfellas [1990] - Directed by Martin Scorsese
5. Citizen Kane [1941] - Directed by Orson Welles

For the love of mashed potatoes, stop asking difficult questions!

Err..

No 1: The Shawshank Redemption (Utterly genius; a work of cinematic art!)
No 2: Donnie Darko (Will never cease to baffle me; the music in itself constitutes a listing)
No 3: Fight Club (What's not to like: Great actors, Brad Pitt & Edward Norton; a great story by the fantastic author Chuck Palahniuk; and directed by David Fincher!)
No. 4: Pulp Fiction (Simply the coolest film anyone will make, ever!!)
No. 5: I'll leave this one open, because I'm sure that if I mention one film here I'll be beating myself up in a minute or two, because I thought of better ones. The top three doesn't change, though!

Cheers, Martin

1) Taxi Driver - 1976 Martin Scorsese

2) Halloween - 1978 John carpenter

3) Goodfellas - 1990 Martin Scorsese

4) The Shining - 1980 Stanley Kubrick
