Damn straight! Goldfinger closely follows the book, which is also excellent.

I love all the Bond movies and all the actors, but Roger Moore is my personal favorite. Never read the books, so I don't have them to compare the movies to. That said, the first Bond movie I saw at a cinema was Live and Let Die and it's always been my favorite, with Jane Seymour my favorite Bond girl. I liked the Moore movies because they were always leavened with humor. He was a smartass and he always almost gave Q the fits. And c'mon, even Connery made with the quips, like in Goldfinger where he threw the guy in the tub and electrocuted him, saying, "Shocking, positively shocking."

I always loved Bond for the pure escapism, not to watch a serious spy movie, although many of the movies did have their share of seriousness (particularly Licence To Kill). I love them all and have them all on DVD and need to have a marathon soon.

^ A close relative of mine has a few friends in this film and one was a man who taught her martial arts over in Asia during the 60s/70s. So it's fun to pick them out in the film.

My favourite Bonds:

2nd -

My favourite and THE best Bond girl ever:

Sorry Harmonica.......I got to stay here.
I'm one of those "Sean Connery is the only Bond" diehards--my 3 faves are:

Diamonds are Forever (campy, but great)

Goldfinger

You Only Live Twice

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
Still love From Russia With Love the most, and I was very underwhelmed by Dr. No.

I concur

Netflix changed my life.
Casino Royale is my favorite Bond film. I really like Daniel Craig as bond. The opening car chase in Quantum of Solace left me speechless it was so good. the rest of the movie......eh.

The best Bond song is a View to a Kill. There isn't even a close second for me. Still a Duran Duran fan after all this time......
