People should post in here, it's a good thread. Here goes another attempt to get people to post

I'll rate Jal's list as I did Donnie's fairly recently and ThomasP is banned.

1. The Elephant Man - One of the few Lynch that I haven't seen, I don't really know why either.

2. City Lights
- Delightful comedy with one of the most touching film endings that I can remember, although I want to watch again eventually and explore other Chaplin films.

3. Grave of the Fireflies - Not seen, in fact I have never seen an Anime film, although I have managed to record a few this week.

4. The Shawshank Redemption
- A great film, powerful emotional team with good performances, although a little too long in places.

5. Pulp Fiction
- One of my very favourite films, what more do I need to say?

6. One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest - Watched this recently, enjoyable film with lots of good little appearances along with Nicholson's, touching in places but I thought the ending was a little too abrupt.

7. Life of Brian
8. Days of Wine and Roses
9. Spirited away
10. Harakiri

Not seen any of the above, although I think they are all on my watchlist.

Boogie Nights

Great movie, but I don't care about the porn industry

Pulp Fiction

Not the best Tarantino in my opinion, but nonetheless a fantastic movie

Big Lebowski

A really funny and well made film!

Blue Velvet

A really weird, but interesting film. I don't really like the scene where Dennis Hopper is getting to weird. I don't see the point

Taxi Driver

I usually don't like those long character studies, but this one is just to good !

Chinatown

One of my all time favourites. Great movie

Apocalypse Now

My favourite none animated war film!

North by Northwest

One of the best movie of my favourite director and one of the most entertaining movie ever !

Unforgiven

I love Clint Eastwood and this is one of his best, but I prefer the man with no name trilogy and The Outlaw Josey Wales

2001

Only seen it once and was bored to death. Maybe if I watch it again I'll prefer it.

1. 10/10
2. 8/10 (need to rewatch)
3. not seen
4. not seen
5. 9/10 (I thought i was the only one who think this is the best Indie movie, we have a suspicious amount in common here )
6. 8.5/10
7. not seen (but really enjoyed the first one)
8. 9/10
9. not seen
10. 7.5/10

1. Taxi Driver
Naturally

2. North by Northwest
Excellent Hitchcock

3. The Godfather
A masterpiece

4. Unforgiven
a movie I desperatly need to rewatch

5. The Exorcist
I am Catholic so this movie naturally scores the crap out of me.

6. Their Will Be Blood
Even with Daniel Day Lewis' performance, there is just something about PTA that leaves me wanting more.

7. Platoon
F**k yeah!

8. The Third Man
Just does nothing for me really

9. A Clockwork Orange
I desperately need to rewatch this as I have not seen this since I was a teenager

10. Once Upon a Time in the West
I REALLY need to rewatch this, cuz when I watched it the first time it was in the very early morning toward the end of a long CQ shift and I was about to fall asleep. Not the best time to watch a slow moving movie.

Gangster Rap is Shakespeare for the Future
6. Their Will Be Blood
Even with Daniel Day Lewis' performance, there is just something about PTA that leaves me wanting more.
I think Day-Lewis's performance is one of the film's faults
