This thread is so full of great films and passion for cinema that it needs to be "bumped" back to teh centre of attention.
I most recently have watched John Frankenheimer's "SECONDS" for about the 50th time. I just adore the cinematographers choices throughout.
The Coen's MAN WHO WASNT THERE has had a few screenings over the last few weeks, its such a visual treat. So much charecter in Billy Bob Thornton's face, its says so much by itself.
NIGHT OF THE HUNTER is another one Ive viewed in the last month or so and it also stands up to repeat viewings, one tense ride.
PEEPING TOM a great study of loneliness much like TAXI DRIVER and ONE HOUR PHOTO
2 great British gangster films Sean Connery in THE FRIGHTENED CITY and Richard Attenbourough in BRIGHTON ROCK.
Also rewtched a few B&W Sidney Lumet films I love FAIL SAFE, THE HILL, 12 ANGRY MEN.
been a few more but its getting late and I gotta sleep
