Coming as a Package

I wipe my ass with your feelings
And by a package I mean director and an actor/actoress coming together as one. It may sound confusing, but I think the examples below might make some sense.

I think some of the greatest "packages" to come out of Hollywood have had to be Scorsese and DeNiro. Movies such as Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, Casino, The King of Comedy and so forth. I believe whenever these two team up, it's going to be one helluva movie. Despite the fact Scorsese is one helluva a director, these two make something special whenever they're on the same set.

With addition to DeNiro, I see Leonardo DiCaprio. DiCaprio and Scorsese have done one helluva job with Gangs of New York and The Aviator. The last two having come out with The Departed showed both of their geniuses (with help from Damon of course).

I can't seem to be bring any more to mind....

oh yeah. Clint Eastwood and Clint Eastwood has always been impressionable.

In Heaven Everything Is Fine
Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina
Not that Fellini really needed Masina's help to make great films, but when the two collaborated on screen(they were married) great stuff happened. La Strada was a very good film, but it's not a masterpiece like Nights of Cabiria. I would definitely rank Nights as one of Fellini's best and I would give more credit for that movie's greatness to Masina. Both films are well worth your time.

Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder
Combined these two guys have made three of the best comedies in the history of comedies. Blazing Saddles, The Producers and Young Frankenstein. The chemistry between these two cinematic icons is really something to be in wonder of. I'm not sure how they got along personally but they both were definitely on the same wave length when it came to making movies.

Akira Kurosawa and Takashi Shimura
Nuff' said.
