Just started watching Criss Cros to kickstart my #Noirvember.

Good list.
But…..All the Kings Men? That’s considered noir? Didn’t seem like it to
me.
Yeah, I watched it last year for the first time and then saw it labeled as such on several places. I'd say it's not your typical noir, but I can see elements of it on it. There's fate weighing on the characters, there's betrayal, a sorta femme fatale, bleak and dark ending.

The trick is not minding

Yeah, was just reading more of it and I guess it could be…felt more like a drama to me. But if Sweet Smell of Success of noir then I guess AtKM is as well

Didn't think of Noirvember as a thing until I read this. Makes me glad I've watched at least one noir movie a day since this started.

On top of this, I'm super happy about this today because I'm finishing up one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen in about 25 minutes. If it keeps up at this pace, then it'll definitely secure a spot in my top 50 movies, but I ain't revealing it.

Yeah, I’m not sure how or when it started, but I first noticed Noirvember about 3 year ago I think?

When I get home, I’ll also list what Tubi has for their Noirvember slate. I know Odd Man Out was among them.

Odd Man Out was one of the very first. I forget if it was the first or second, but I needed it so I could get some more Carol Reed in my log.

Here's a link to an old podcast, called Out of the Past:Investigating Film Noir...https://outofthepast.libsyn.com/

I listened to all the episodes a number of years ago and I found it good. The two guys come across as a bit pretentious at times, but they do offer some really good insight and discussions.

Just looked through the eligible titles and I have seen... 25. List should be a piece of cake.

What about the Hitchcock's North by Northwest?

Generally, the colour movies are not allowed, right?

What if all anyone can find is a color link to another movie?

Color noirs are allowed! They just have to be tagged 'film noir' at IMDB or Wiki per the 1st post rules.

However North by Northwest is not a noir and it's not tagged as such so not eligible. Good movie though.

Here's some films which will be in contention of making my ballot:

Ace in the Hole (1951)
The Asphalt Jungle (1950)
The Bigamist (1953)

The Third Man (1949)
I've seen 18 of those. A few of them will likely make my ballot.

Color Film Noirs...I did an advance title search at IMDB for feature length-film noirs-color-1940-1959. I've seen a lot of these as last Noirvember I made it a point to watch color film noirs. Some were pretty darn good.

I'll link my spoiler free mini reviews below for the ones I've seen:
A Bullet Is Waiting (1954)
A Kiss Before Dying (1956)
A Prize of Gold (1955)
A Woman's Devotion (1956)
Accused of Murder (1956)
Bedevilled (1955)
Black Widow (1954)
Congo Crossing (1956) ?
Dangerous Mission (1954)
Desert Fury (1947)
Dragnet (1954)
Gorilla at Large (1954)
Hell on Frisco Bay (1955)

Leave Her to Heaven (1945)
Lisbon (1956)
Niagara (1953)
Party Girl (1958)
Second Chance (1953)
Slightly Scarlet (1956)
Steel Town (1952)
The Trap (1959)
The Unguarded Moment (1956)
The Unholy Wife (1957)
Violent Saturday (1955)

I've seen 18 of those. A few of them will likely make my ballot.
Over half of those won't make my ballot, but I'll likely have room for some of them. I'll also try to revisit a few films there throughout the preliminary thread.

Sweet Smell of Success (1957)

The Third Man (1949)
That's a pretty useful idea so that users to group around common titles they like.

Currently, I consider five movies of this list for my ballot (one of them for the top slots).
There are five other, out of these, I plan for watching in the following months (hope they'll be good enough to vote for them).
