Whats the best movie ending of all time?

How about "The Shawshank Redemption"?Never has a happy ending been better earned by a story.

Also like the ending of "Blade Runner Director's Cut",with the elevator closing.Far more powerful than the rubbish original ending.

casino- they tell you how the movie is going to end, but it works
saving private ryan- shocking portayal of d-day
city of god- opening shot of the chickens being killed and the last one knowing it's fate, escapes leading to a chicken chase across rio, representing Rocket trying to run from the ruthless violence around him

i think Kingdom Of Heaven and V for Vendetta or the german films Das Boot or Downfall but not ALLtime

v for vendetta has one of the most amazing endings i have seen i know there is one movie with a better ending i just cant think of it right now but the end from V made me crie and thats hard to do

my favorite movie is v for vendetta i memorized that quote you put and i think that movie has the best everything i cant describe it because i admire it so much and kingdome is another of my favorites and the ending is okay but it was an awsome movie

Charlie Chaplin's "City Lights" ending - he certainly had great endings to all of his feature length films though.

The movie with the best ending that I have evr seen has got to be The Sixth Sense. Maybe not a happy ending, but certainly a surprise. Also Seven, and The Flight of the Phoenix have very good endings as well.
