I don't know if this is going to be a spoiler thread (or if there are any threads on the series (but I'll look it up) but I just want to say with great enthusiasm that the 12 Monkeys show is a must-watch.
It's an entirely different beast to the movie (warning not an adaption or remake), but both are unique masterpieces.

All four seasons are a rollercoaster ride you'll never forget, with all the most ingenious plot twists and red herrings you will not see coming yet will find skillfully foreshadowed.
Perfect cast, perfect script, just everything about it.

Some people get a bit iffy about the 1st season (non fans who usually drop off there) but I assure you, all four seasons are one full story. It's not a show you can jump off incomplete, it's an overarching story with loops in loops. It has a very firm coherrent message, a great balance of emotionally compelling characters, humor when suited, light and dark.
