Oscar's Best Picture 2022

Looking at the last ten Best Picture winners and, though I haven't seen it, I have to guess that Red Notice is better than all of them.

For me only Moonlight and Parasite are great films. I can see Birdman scratching near greatness, but it just didn't quite get there for me. I should give it a rewatch one day.


But I sort of loathed Shape of Water, which I thought I would probably like, but was a well made mess. And I'm hard pressed to think of a Best Picture winner that I think was worse than Green Book. I cant think of a social message movie that panders more to its audience. Mortenson was good (well at least as good as that flat script would permit) but the rest of it was an agony for me to sit through.
