All ugly people are invisible to character

Think this is a comedy TV show, probably British, where one episode shows that a character just doesn't see unattractive women. There's a scene in a bar when one comes to talk to him but he ignores her as he just doesn't see them. I thought it might be Coupling but can't find anything to prove it, save finding them and watching them all over.

Help, please?

It sounded like a very Patrick trait, though if you haven't seen it that wouldn't help! It is worth watching, not sure how dated it would be now.

Only other idea was it was Matt Berry doing it in something. Or I imagined it.

In the Coupling Season 3 Episode 4, Patrick and Sally are each remembering their first encounter in their respective friend circle. The event occurred at a office party, and he did not see the unattractive coworker. His version of events occurs at around 14 minutes. Sally's version occurs at around 15:40.
