Inherent Vice

I worked on this show. Soooo many reshoots. everyone was amazing. From cast to crew. Looooonggggg loooonggg hours. Locations budget was blown out of the water. Should be awesome though,

The film officially got an R-rating!

Drug use throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, strong language and some violence.

Sorry for the people who thought this post indicated a trailer.

I was about to ask "has PTA done graphic nudity before?" then realized I was being stupid.

The first pieces of actual moving footage can be seen in this promoting trailer for the NYFF!!!

It's not much, but it's something. You can see Phoenix lighting a cigarette and you can also see a cop pushing Phoenix down on the floor with his shoulder.

Finished here. It's been fun.
The day the trailer releases will be glorious. I don't think I've ever anticipated a movie this much.

0:05, Doc lighting joint
0:41, Doc being knocked over by a couple of cops
0:51, Owen Wilson with a bunch of hippies approaching a dinner table full of pizza.

Here are all the images we already have from the film in one post (took it from the Cigarettes & Red Vines facebook page):

The last one with Owen Wilson cracks me up for some reason.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about Pynchon being brought to the big screen. But....it's his most mediocre novel to date. "Bleeding Edge" would've been more interesting.

Also, many sources are stating that the trailer will be coming out very soon!

If you have the time, be sure to read this article featuring certain interesting thoughts from PTA about the film in a recent interview with The New York Times:

We have a run time for the trailer. So, we know the trailer has been made and SOMEONE has seen it. I'm just hoping that it gets released soon.
