Same. I usually take the one right at the back while presuming it has the most far off sell-by date.

Me too. I look at the "sell by" date on perishable things like milk and bread. And the fresher stuff is usually in the back like you say.

Always surprised & annoyed by expired dates that are still on the shelf.
