Moneyball is a great movie. You really notice Brad Pitt's "Nervous habits"

This feels similar to the many "Best of 2011" threads we already have just with 2012 tacked on. But I'll play anyway. If it gets closed it gets closed.

Lots of great movies from last year. I get the impression not many were that impressed but I certainly was. Not seen too many from this year but there's been one I absolutely adored and another I really liked a lot.

2011
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
The Help
Midnight In Paris
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Bellflower
Super 8
The Artist
50/50
Carnage

2012
The Cabin in the Woods
The Intouchables

and no, I haven't seen The Avengers and don't plan to, either.

Drive,Harry Potter 7.2,Kill The Irishman,Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Teh film I would pick is Drive.. This was suprisingly good!

not out yet. I liked the first one, very effective.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.

Definitely the most surprising film I've seen for a while.
Yeah, actually quite a bit better and different from what i suspected (I am familiar with plots of the originals), this one is a different take. Well cast.

I know right. Wasn't a notebook/gosling fan, but I think he's much better in Drive's role. Plus, we got Bryan Cranston.

Want to add.
13 assassins.
Castaway on the Moon - korean film.

/agree
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - but only for those who like cerebral spy genre.

The Raid: Redemption is a great movie if no one has seen that yet.

Cabin in The Woods is good also.

The Muppets was an awesome movie also. funny and cute

Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil funny movie.

13 Assasins was really good also.

oohhh, forgot

the skin I live in.
Girl with the dragon tattoo.

For Greater Glory
The Avengers
Captain America The First Avenger
X-Men First Class
The Artist

I Love Movies! That's all
The Grey!

Only saw it a few weeks ago but it immediately jumped pretty high in my mental list of favorites

PS: I saw 21 Jump Street yesterday, as senseless entertainment it really hit the spot. Got me laughing pretty hard a few times . I recommend it for any students that need a break from studying

I liked 21 Jump Street a lot, one of the best no-brainer comedies of the year.
Channing & Jonah make a great team. I usually hate Channing, but he was quite charming here.
& I definitely see Jonah as a promising actor.

My main problem with The Grey was that it had a very misleading trailer. I didn't hate it, but didn't like it either.

The Hunger Games
Project X
The Avengers

Rio,
Scream 4,
The Intruder,
Soul Surfer,
Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen
