The weirdest thing you saw at a theater

What's the weirdest thing you've seen at a movie theater?
Couple days ago I saw a thread like this and it reminded me of this weird guy.
Once I sat next to him and he had a live bat and kept petting it the whole time. The movie was "The Hobbit".

I was in England last year and I had to spend a week there basically doing nothing but be bored out of my mind, and I didn't really feel the urge to explore much of the country, so I decided I'd hole up in a nearby movie theater where I was at for most of the time.

Strangely enough, the only movie that theater was showing was the 1988 movie, Young Guns, starring Emilio Estevez and Kiefer Sutherland. I watched that movie five times a day for seven days -- and never felt weird for doing it, either, because I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE! Seated some distance away from me was this bald man in glasses who, like me, also never left! We were the only two people in the theater the whole time. AND HE NEVER TOOK HIS EYES OFF THE SCREEN. I would get bored of the movie at times and just snooze, then I'd wake up and look over and there that man would be, COMPLETELY ZONED OUT, eyes still watching Young Guns intently!

It was creepy as Hell. I can still see that man just sitting there in the darkness. Sometimes I have nightmares about it.

One time, I whistled at the man and asked him why he didn't just come over and sit next to me since we were always in there. HE JUST IGNORED ME!

When I left the theater after the last time I watched the movie, he didn't get up and leave with me. In fact, he never left at the end of the day. Perhaps they played Young Guns more than I thought.

I'm convinced he's still there. In fact, I believe I've developed a telepathic bond with this man and I can now psychically see him in that theater.

He's out there... watching.

I could tell the story when I saw The Cell (J-Lo movie) tripping on acid, but I dont know if it'd be appropriate.

Sure, go ahead. Probably something like "Trainspotting", right.

Cant think of anything really weird, altho I saw some kid throw up lima beans in a theater once. I havent eaten them since.

Maybe couples getting it on in the back seat at a drive-in theatre. I guess thats not weird, tho. Hell, Ive done that myself.

The weirdest thing? not sure if its weird or not.. but I had went to see a film.. more for adults than children appropriate.. a couple had brought their 2 year old and 5 year old children with them. While the couple was enjoying the film... the children were running up and down the stairs and even picking popcorn off the floor and eating it. It was a mid day showing and not many people in the theatre... but they still should have found a baby sitter or skipped the film until they had one to watch the kids at home.

I think it was more "sad" than "weird".

And that reminds me of this one time, I went to see a french movie called "Baisse Moi" with a couple of dorm friends. The movie had some really explicit scenes, rape, murder and finally some hardcore porn stuff.
When the credits started to roll, the lights turned on, I saw my uni lady professor sitting in front of us. We pretended not to see each other, but the situation was really embarrassing and it made us feel uncomfortable when we see each other at the uni.
I know we were all adults but anyway - it was plain weird.

I'm Anthony, a Frenchman in France.
The weirdest experience I've had took place in a theater in Paris suburb. As I was leaving Paris by car, I saw that theater by chance. I had some time to kill so I watched the movies that were on the bill. My attention got caught by this Japanese-French musical animation:

Interstella 5555

(The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem)
Released in France on May 28, 2003.

The film is the visual realization of Discovery, the second studio album by Daft Punk. Interstella 5555 tells the story of the abduction and rescue of an interstellar pop band. The film was produced by Daft Punk, Cédric Hervet and Emmanuel de Buretel with Toei Animation under the supervision of Leiji Matsumoto. The film has no dialogue and uses minimal sound effects.

When I was younger, I enjoyed inspiring stories based on blue-skinned human-like sci-fi characters, like these ones from the French-Japanese animation Ulysse 31:

Anyway. The scenario of Interstella 5555 looked interesting enough to me. I bought a ticket. Then I took a seat.

Nobody else took any. I was alone during the whole show. I'm aware this is not the "weirdest" experience ever. However, my being alone contributed to make the whole experience (anime, memories, resonance, ...) more synchronistic.

What do I keep now from that weirdness, 15 years after?
Well, now I remember that I saw that anime at the beginning of a new and adventurous period of my life. The whole context made me think it was an encouraging synchronistic sign.

I once saw a swan in a theater. He was watching the screen very intensely. I think he was going to rate the movie five stars or something.
