I tried to google a sort of suggestive pic of "salami" or "beef stick"... What I found I will not post here, but it erased all doubt.

Salami is used for verbal sexual tennis matches. The sexual innuendos start, quickly followed by the fur of inside jokes layered thin on the salami. Enjoy!
