Shall I update your top ten for you, Master Toose?

well, i'll post ten movies that are strong contenders currently, for my single favorite, cause it is just too hard to rank them accurately. so in a very vague order:

1: aguirre (herzog)
2: wild strawberries (bergman)
3: gorsch the cellist (takahata)
4: tokyo story (ozu)
5: modern times (chaplin)
6: sunset blvd. (wilder)
7: men with guns (sayles)
8: faust (svankmajer)
9: tokyo fist (tsukamoto)
10: seven beauties (wertmuller)

damn, i'm sure i'm forgetting some gems, i'll have to post back with my top 100 (maybe top 50, to make it more competative) later on.

heh, just noticed that my top three are (i think) the same as the top three i posted in the 'favorite foreign language films' topic.

Yeah, I should have known that. Judging from the number of posts that you guys have produced here I take it one could define you as film nerds (and I do mean that as a compliment!).

Ok, you asked for it!!! One of these day I will make you read my Top 100!

My favorite top ten changes constantly, but only a little. Currently my top ten list:

10. Memento
9. The Blair Witch Project
8. Empire of the Sun
7. Glory
6. Schindlers List
5. Braveheart
4. Saving Private Ryan
3. Natural Born Killers
2. Platoon
1. Mulholland Drive

Yeah, yeah, I'm a war movie junkie...I've got my reasons.
At least I think that's my list.

BTW Yoda, I would love it if you put this in my profile. I PM'ed you a long time ago with a list, but you must have been too busy and forgot. I've been a member for almost two months and I've yet to be able to add it myself. Thanks.
