Shampoo replaced with acid

Watched around 2010 (probably earlier). A girl is taking a shower, but another girl (her friend or sister) replaces the shampoo with acid. She grabs the bottle and doesn't even notice. Suddenly, she starts screaming in pain, as the acid burns her face and hair. There is another scene: after the girl recovers, she is with her friends walking on the street (probably wearing a hat, since she lost her hair) and she stops in front of some clothes shop and looks at the glass for a prolonged period of time.

Just watched "Stratosphere Girl" (2004). It is hard to say for sure, but it is probably not that movie. Note that the mentioned review is incorrect: in "Stratosphere Girl" they put a glue in the shampoo, not an acid.

The scene from memory is like this: the girl is in the bathtub behind the shower curtain. On the right there is a small white cupboard and a shampoo bottle on it. The girl grabs the shampoo with one hand and pulls it behind the curtain, after which she starts screaming. There is no such scene in "Stratosphere Girl".

Of course, there is a chance that the memory is incorrect and it might indeed be "Stratosphere Girl". In case there are no other ideas, this thread will be closed as answered in three months.

What kind of movie was this? Thriller? Drama?

Do you remember if it was in English? Any general description of the plot or the way the actors look will help people look.

Yes, the movie is probably in English. Cannot recall any other details though.

In "The Craft" (1996), Laura lost her hair due to a magic spell. There is no shampoo involved.

It's definitely not your movie, but I think the 1980 Australian movie Harlequin features acid being mistaken for shampoo. There may well be other examples of this trope.
