What is the coolest 80's movie you have seen?

Tools

The 80's was a decade full of cool movies......

Here's what I can think of:

Dreamscape
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Beuller's Day off
Back to the Future
Stand by Me
The Golden Child
Poltergeist
Alien
Aliens
Three Amigos
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Field of Dreams
The Abyss
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
Nightmare on Elm Street
Beverly Hills Cop

and so much more I can go on and on.

Get Low, Get Low, Get Low
Sixteen Candles
Nightmare on Elm Street
Breakfast Club
Ferris Beulers Day Off
Rocky?

I'm not old, you're just 12.
Why does everyone love the Breakfast Club? I thought it was poorly written and had one of the single worst movie endings ever. Heathers was a far better High School movie. It was sick, but at least it came by it's sickness honestly.
The kids in the Breakfast Club were all whiny brats who blamed their parents for how horribly they treated one another, which is fake, and then Ally Sheedy, the only likeable character, gets a prom queen makeover and loses all of her originality so she can go out with Emilio Estevez, the guy who duct taped another kid's @ss shut! How does that make sense?!?! I know it's just a movie, but it's an amazingly hollow movie. I hate when non-conformist characters get make overs and then they LOVE conformity!

well close enough, good movie anyway

Yeah, I don't know how close being off by five years is (you're not ever turning in my taxes), but regardless, definitely track down a copy of the longer, original, international cut of the movie (titled Leon). The U.S. theatrical/video version was cut by about twenty minutes. As good as The Professional is, Leon is better. Leon was finally released in the U.S. on DVD a couple years ago.
